In 1989, Greg Carelli opened an Italian sub sandwich shop in the space that was previously called Tony's Cafe. Its success was a surprisingly simple recipe that is the Carelli's trademark to this day – food made with the freshest and finest imported and local ingredients, served with exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Carelli's popularity has steadily burgeoned through three expansions and two remodels. Today, Carelli's of Boulder offers outstanding authentic and unpretentious classic Italian cuisine in a space that is at once spacious yet intimate with a 360° fireplace and high-backed booths. In the summer, dine al fresco on Carelli's beautiful patio.

The menu combines the best from both traditional and contemporary cuisines of Northern and Southern Italy as well as exquisite nightly specials created by Executive Chef, Samir Aniba. An extensive wine list complements our acclaimed menu.

Voted best place for a romantic dinner, we're perfectly suited for couples as well as families and festive gatherings small and large. Our swanky new banquet room, the Bottega di Vino, was inspired by the famous Enoteca in Verona frequented by Greg on his many visits to Italy.
